Nicolo Solli stays undefeated with first round submission over Dan Cassell

Nicolo Solli impressed in front of a home crowd at Bellator Milan.

It didn’t take long for Solli to get a win, he came out and was on the front foot looking to strike instantly. Cassell who many expected to trade, took him down quickly and looked to get to work. Solli quickly got Cassell into his guard to stop and threat of Cassell getting into a dangerous position.

From his guard, Solli used his long limbs to threaten with many submissions. He took some strikes along the way but was catching the arm of Cassell and looked close to finishing the fight on more than one occasion. It didn’t take him long until one of his attempts were successful.

Solli slapped on a triangle choke after failing with some armbar attempts. The choke was in deep and the experienced Cassell couldn’t break free forcing him to tap. Solli moved to 3-0 as a pro all of his wins within this calendar year. The youngster who switched up his training between Italy and Ireland had the crowd going wild following his win.

He is certainly one to watch in the future moving forward.
