UFC 237 Weigh-in results
UFC 237 has lost a fight ahead of Saturday nights action in Rio de Janeiro. A lightweight bout between Carlos Diego Ferreira and Francisco Trinaldo was scheduled to take place as part of the main card. However, Ferreira was forced out of the bout on weigh-in day as he was deemed medically unfit due to a weight cutting issue. As a result, the bout was cancelled.
In the main event of the evening, Rose Namajunas will defend her Strawweight title in enemy territory against Brazil’s own Jessica Andrade. Both Thug Rose and Andrade weighed in at 114.5lbs ahead of their title fight. In the co-main event, Anderson Silva will return to Brazil for the first time since UFC 153 in 2012. The Spider tipped the scales at 185 on Friday morning. His opponent Jared Cannonier made a successful middleweight debut against David Branch back in November. The Killer Gorilla weighed in 184.5lbs this morning.
