UFC 242 Weigh in results

The 26 fighters hit the scale on Friday morning

As the UFC heads to the Middle East this weekend, Khabib Nurmagomedov will aim to defend his lightweight crown for the second time as he faces off against ‘The Diamond’ Dustin Poirier. Khabib is coming a win over long term rival Conor McGregor back in October 2018 at UFC 229. The fracas after the fight ensured Khabib was suspended for 10 months and returns against one of the divisions best fighters. ‘The Eagle’ weighed in at 155. Dustin Poirier is coming off a five round war against featherweight king Max Holloway back in April and earned the Interim Lightweight championsip as a result. Dustin has won 5 out his last 6 with the only blemish being a NC against Eddie Alvarez and is aiming to dethrone one of the sports most dominant fighters. Poirier tipped the scales at 155 also.

In the co-main event of the evening, a sequel. 4 years ago Edson Barboza and Paul Felder squared off with the former walking away with a unanimous decision victory. Since then, both have continued to gain experience and a fight at this point in their respective careers is a no-brainer. Barboza has moved to American Top Team in a bid to revitalize his career after losing 3 of his last 4 fights with his last being a KO loss against Justin Gaethje in March. Paul Felder earned his biggest win of his career against James Vick in February and has been itching to gain revenge against the Brazilian. Edson weighed in at 155.5 while Paul tipped the scales at 155.
