UFC 246 weigh-in results

24 fighters hit the scale on Friday morning.

The highly anticipated opening event of the year is all set despite losing a bout at the eleventh hour as the fighters hit the scales in Las Vegas. In the main event of the evening, The ‘Notorious’ Conor McGregor makes his return after a 15 month layoff to take on veteran Donald Cerrone in the Welterweight division. Both Conor and Cowboy tipped the scales at 170lbs ahead of Saturday nights bout. In the co-main event, a rematch between Womens Bantamweight contenders Holly Holm and Raquel Pennington. The former champion, Holm weighed in at 135.5lbs while opponent Pennington weighed in at 136lbs.

The fight between Claudia Gadelha and Alexa Grasso has been cancelled due to the difference between the pairs weights. Gadelha successfully weighed in at 115.5lbs but her opponent Grasso missed the Strawweight limit by 5.5lbs. Per the Nevada State Athletic Commission commission, Strawweight fighters are only allowed a three-pound differential between them. As a result, the bout has been cancelled.
