UFC Wichita Betting Preview

Hey folks, we are back with a another weeks UFC action.

Last week didn’t go to plan with Usman playing a blunder and Jones, in my opinion, playing with Lionheart but we get another chance this weekend to win some cash.

Not that much value this weekend so going to keep it short and sweet with my selections.

Tim Means v Niko Price

Interested in the price Niko Price has opened at here this weekend. Had priced this up as a tighter affair and think some value on “The Hybrid”. “The Dirty Bird” always strikes me as a fighter that fights to his opponents level.

He’s a well rounded fighter but just always seems to fall a little short. He also seems to never get a judge’s decision which I think could be a factor here. He doesn’t seem to score well in judge’s eyes.

Price’s two losses were against two very good 170ers. Luque is a stud and Razak Alhassan hits like a truck. I don’t believe there is any shame in those losses. Price has good hands and I think he can trouble Means in this.

I think he can drag this into a boxing contest and win either a decision or maybe catch Means with a big shot to finish it. At the prices available I’m keen to have a punt, especially on a card lacking value.

Selection: Niko Price $2.75

Tim Boetsch v Omari Akhmedov

Short and sweet here. While I’m fearful of Akhmedov having a cardio dump in round three, I think he possesses enough here to win this fight in the first few rounds or withstand the rally of Big Tim in round three to come out with a decision win. Round Three is the killer though but unlike Zaleski or Moraes, I don’t feel Boetsch will have it in him to finish Akhmedov in the third. Akhmedov, in my opinione, won that Vettori fight and withstood everything Razak threw at him. I feel at the prices available, he’s good value to win.

Selection: Omari Akhmedov $1.70

Grant Dawson v Julian Erosa

This fight is interesting. Erosa has shown very little since he beat Paddy Pimplett in Cage warriors. He got sparked last time out after I felt he might be able to weather the storm. So I think his chin is suspect.

Dawson fresh off a USADA ban has not proven to be a world beater just yet but I seriously can’t trust the chin of Erosa. I think Dawson can throw wild enough and fold him with a good shot.

Selection: Grant Dawson $1.57

Junior dos Santos v Derrick Lewis

I’m all over JDS here. I feel that Lewis was lucky to beat Volkov due to some bad decision making by the Russian. He got beat up by Cormier, but that was expected. I really fancy JDS to piece him on feet and have better cardio. He won’t let Lewis escape as Volkov did and I think he finishes “The Black Beast”.

Selection: Junior dos Santos $1.45

Junior dos Santos inside the distance $2

Multi: JDS – Grant Dawson – Omari Akhmedov $3.65

Couple of Big odds I have played very small too are

Akhmedov by TKO $5.50

Drew Dober By TKO $7

JDS R2 KO $8

Good luck and best of luck folks!
