UFC Uruguay: Weigh In Results

The 26 fighters hit the scale on Friday morning.

As the UFC heads south of the equator, a women’s flyweight title fight tops the card, as champion Valentina Shevchenko not only looks to defend her title again, but also exert revenge on Liz Carmouche who beat “The Bullet” in 2010 via TKO (Doctor Stoppage) at C3 Fights.

Shevchenko defended her belt for the first time against Jessica Eye in June, securing the win with a brutal head kick knockout. Valentina weighed in at 124.5lbs. Liz Carmouche has been around the game for a long time now and this is her first shot at UFC gold since her loss to former champion Ronda Rousey in 2013. After back to back wins against top flyweight contenders, Carmouche will be aiming to make it 3 in a row, and gather gold along her way. She tipped the scales at 125lbs.

In the co-main event, fan favourites Vicente Luque and Mike Perry are set to square off at welterweight. Luque is on a 5-fight finish streak and will be looking to make it 6 against Perry. Vicente dispatched newcomer Derrick Krantz inside a round back in May, and a win over over the American on Saturday night will move Luque into the top 15. He weighed in at 171lbs. Mike Perry put in his best performance inside the UFC Octagon against Alex Oliveira in April, and looked as good as he ever has. Whoever wins here sets up a big fight, possibly against a top 10 opponent later on in the year. Mike Perry tipped the scales 170.5lbs.
