Bellator 241 Weigh In Results
Amidst the doom and gloom of the Coronavirus scares, forcing numerous sporting leagues and events to be canceled or played behind closed doors, the Bellator 241 fighters all hit the scales on Thursday morning ahead of Friday night’s action packed card in Connecticut.
At the top of the bill, two streaking featherweights will face off as Patricio ‘Pitbull’ Freire is set to defend his 145-pound title for the seventh time against the 24-year-old prospect, Pedro Carvalho.
‘Pitbull’ comes into this fight as the clear best featherweight in the promotion and on a five fight win streak, weighing in at the championship limit of 145lbs. Carvalho, confident that he has what it takes to dethrone the king, has never tasted defeat inside the Bellator cage (4-0) and also weighed in at 145.
In the co-main, the remaining Featherweight World Grand Prix semi-final is set to take place as two veterans in Daniel Weichel and Emmanuel Sanchez will rematch and go head to head for a place in the final-four. Weichel, who holds a win over Sanchez from back in 2016, weighed in at 144.75lbs. Sanchez, determined to redeem himself, came in at the 145-pound championship limit.
