UFC Phoenix Results
The UFC’s first major card on ESPN is in the books and it did not disappoint. Cain Velasquez was unsuccessful in his return as an issue with his knee seconds into the bout arose as well as being caught with an uppercut from Ngannou. Paul Felder and James Vick put on a solid performance in the co-main to follow up some cracking fights.
Cynthia Calvillo managed to upset hometown fighter Courtney Casey to bring her UFC record to 5-1. Kron Gracie put on a performance of the night showing in his bout when he displayed his BJJ expertise to submit Alex Caceres. Vincente Luque and Bryan Barberena put on what will be in the running for fight of the year. Both men went to war in the back and forth fight. Barberena was set to win via decision but Luque pulled off he TKO victory with 6 seconds left in the bout.
