UFC Newark weigh-in results

The 24 fighters hit the scale on Friday morning.

UFC Newark will hit our screens this weekend as the controversial Colby Covington will go up against his former team mate Robbie Lawler in the main event. Covington’s last fight was for the Interim Welterweight title back in June 2018 against Rafael Dos Anjos which Colby won but was later stripped of the belt. Lawler on the other hand is coming off a controversial submission loss to Ben Askren in March and is looking to get back into the win column. Colby weighed in at 171lbs while Lawler tipped the scales at 170lbs.

In the co-main event of the evening, a pair of veterans will finally meet as Clay Guida faces Jim Miller at lightweight. With a combined 59 fights in the UFC, Miller and Guida will finally square. Jim Miller earned a big win last time out with a submission over Jason Gonzalez in April while Guida is coming off a decision win over UFC Hall of Famer, BJ Penn in May. Miller tipped the scales at 154.75lbs while his opponent Guida weighed in at 154.5lbs ahead of Saturday nights fight.
