Bellator 215 full resullts and main card review

Tonight Bellator debut on Sky Sports for MVP vs. Paul Daley and hopefully that main card goes down a bit better with the fans. The prelims of Bellator 215 were cracking, with finishes coming from the first 5 fights, followed by 3 fights that went the distance. Unfortunately, the main card didn’t end as well as it started.

The first two fights didn’t even make it out of the first round. The opening fight saw Austin Vanderford secure a submission victory with 11 seconds left on the clock in round one. John Douma pulled of an upset in submitting the highly touted Mike Kimbel in the following bout.

The three fights to follow were not as action packed, unfortunately. Former Bantamweight champion Eduardo Dantas outworked Toby Misech to snap his losing skid. Logan Storley and Ion Pascu had fans booing as Storley dominated the entire fight in a not very fan friendly fashion. This fight was rarely on the feet past the start of the round, Storley utilized his superior wrestling, landing some shots on the ground but never looked close to finishing the fight. The fight was very much a wrestling clinic and especially entertaining for lovers of wrestling and that style of fighting.

Unfortunately, the night ended much sooner than expected. In the main event, an accidental low kick from Mitrione left Khartionov unable to continue, therefore the fight was declared a no contest after just 15 seconds.
