Could this be the last time we see The Spider in the Octagon?

Anderson “The Spider” Silva (34-9-0) comes out this weekend for what could be one of his final bouts to face Jared Cannonier in the Co-Main Event in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil! Silva’s decorated career is unlike most others having some of the most exhilarating fights in Mixed Martial Arts history as well as setting unbelievable records and helping to bring the sport to new heights.

The Spider is undoubtedly one of the best Middleweights of all time, with wins over other elite fighters such as, Rich Franklin who he defeated once by TKO for the Middleweight Championship and would go on to win the rematch by TKO again to remain the Middleweight Champion.

Other fighters Silva defeated include, Victor Belfort, Damien Maia, Dan Henderson, Forest Griffin, Chael Sonnen twice and the list goes on. Many of Silva’s bouts go down as some of the most exciting scraps in recent history such as his war with Nick Diaz which he would go on to win by a decision but would later be overturned to a no contest due to Silva testing positive for a banned substance.

From the highest of highs and lowest of lows, it seems The Spider has conquered it all and soon might be hanging up the gloves for good. When he finally does whether he wins or loses this weekend Silva will go down in the history books as one of the best fighters to ever step into the Octagon. I recommended tuning in and embracing what could be one of the last times we see this legend.
