Maurício Milani Rua (Portuguese pronunciation: [mawˈɾisiu ˈʁuɐ]; born November 25, 1981) is a Brazilian professional mixed martial artist currently competing in the Light heavyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. A professional competitor since 2002, Rua is a former UFC Light heavyweight Champion and the 2005 PRIDE Middleweight Grand Prix Champion. As of December 12, 2018 he is #13 in the official UFC light heavyweightt rankings.[6]
